Field Trip to Cornell University

Three Edison students and two chaperones went to Cornell University in New York on January 31, 2012 to attend their Arts and Nature Workshop. Read about their trip!

Saturday Tutorials

Come to Saturday tutorials to make sure you pass the new STAAR test. Strengthen your test taking and academic skills. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. Classes are from 9:00 to noon. Lunch is served at 12:00 p.m. Please see our school calendar for the schedule.

Compudopt

Compudopt Giveaway Edison is excited to partner up with Compudopt to provide computers free of charge to some students who do not own a computer at this time. The computer adoption date has been set for April 21, 2012 at the school beginning at 10 a.m. Students will be receiving an application to take home.

Edison's IT Specialist Wins Award

Debra Schutz, Edison's IT Specialist, has been named by the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) asTechnical Support Person of the Year Finalist. She was presented this award at a ceremony on February 7, 2011 at the TCEA Convention in Austin, in appreciation of her outstanding service and dedication to the advancement of technology in education.

Mexican Institute of Houston

Mexican Institute Logo The kickoff for the second Parent Computer Class at Edison Middle School this year will be held on Monday, February 27th. The classes are held twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Space is limited, so please be here early.
