Grady Parent Teacher Organization Information

The Grady PTO assists and supports the Grady Middle School Staff to achieve educational and school goals. Some of our activities include:

1. Volunteers for the library, front office decorations, school store, office help, staff appreciation, concessions (home volleyball/basketball games), sports awards ceremony, scholars awards ceremony, National Junior Honors Society Induction.

2. Chaperoning field trips, gator elite and socials

3. Planning the Grady Gala (a premier spring event!)

Please go online to register as a volunteer if you have not already done so. Go to www.houstonisd.org and scroll to the bottom of the homepage to the Parents section. Then click on VIPS login and complete the information - remember to select Grady - and submit. After you register it will ask you to bring your drivers license to the school. Ask the office to make a copy for Linda Riehl.

Once you are approved as a VIP, stop by the main office to sign in (you will need your password).

Come visit the School Store!

For your convenience, the school store has supplies (individual items and pre-packaged), P.E. and school uniforms as well as spirit shirts. Store hours are: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:20am until the start of morning announcements.

For Class work and Classroom information: Please contact your child’s Teacher

Teachers emails addresses are available on the Grady website under “Contact Us”

For Absences and School records please contact: Ms. Yolanda Chavarria <ychavarr@houstonisd.org> ** We recommend that you email Mrs. Chavarria along with your child’s teachers when your child is absent from school in addition to sending a written note upon your child's return to school from any absence.

Fundraising Opportunities

Share Programs with Our Local Grocery Stores and Target provide additional income for Grady. You can help raise funds for Grady by:

Kroger share card

   1. Pick a share card now or in the main office or at a PTO Meeting
   2. When you check out give the checker you share card along with your Kroger card
   3. The Grady PTO will receive funds quarterly to support their programs.

Target (If you have a Target Visa)

   1. Go on line and go to www.Target.com
   2. Go to community page
   3. Find and designate Grady Middle School as your recipient
   4. Link your card to Grady
   5. Now every time you use your card Grady receives a percentage of the sale

Randall’s remarkable card

   1. The form is available in the main office or on the website
   2. You can fill out the form
   3. Turn the form into Liz (Treasurer's Box in the office) or the courtesy booth at Randall's
   4. Once the form is turned in, every time you use your Randall's Remarkable card, Grady receives money!!!
